For the 2013 edition of the AFM-Téléthon, our agency, Louis 21, was tasked with revitalizing the event’s image through a fun and educational mobile experience. The goal was to increase engagement and donations, particularly among younger audiences.
The AFM-Téléthon, a historic event in France, faced the challenge of engaging a younger demographic unfamiliar with the televised fundraising event. Our mission was to create a mobile app that not only modernized the event but also facilitated easier donation processes. We aimed to attract and engage a younger audience, simplify the donation process through mobile integration, and create a lasting connection with users beyond the event.
To achieve this, we conducted multiple design workshops to understand user motivations and pain points. We developed innovative concepts, including Hero Mode, Lucie’s Journal, and Community Sports. Through iterative prototyping and testing, we refined the app’s functionality and user experience. The final concept, The Téléthon Hub, featured video flashbacks, project updates, event participation, live Twitter feeds, and easy donation options. This comprehensive app delivered a cohesive and engaging user experience, aligning with the Téléthon’s brand while appealing to a younger audience.
